Hello,

My name is Michele. I’m a mother to two children. A boy and girl. Im an Arizona child. I’m Native American (Yavapai-Apache, and Tohono odham) and Mexican (Guanajuato). I currently live on the reservation…. Sometimes I take my kids out to Tuba City since they’re also apart of the Hopi Tribe. I’m usually at work, with my kids, or home sleeping, or at the gym, swimming or working out, or cleaning or volunteering as a TBall coach. Our team is called the Leaping Lizards.

I went to School for Cosmetology in Phoenix, Arizona. I attended Barber and Barber instructor school in Glendale, Arizona. The first time I picked up shears I was like 10 years old cutting my dolls hair or curling my own hair since I was too afraid to cut mine really bad. But I started cosmetology school in 2008 officially. I decided men’s hair was a better path for me somewhere down the line and decided to pursue men’s hair. I’ve worked in nail salons, beauty shops, and quite a few barbershops and when the opportunity to buy Sedona Barbershop came up I couldn’t turn it down.

I’m quite thankful for the way my life as change significantly in the last few years for the better and I’m thankful to have the opportunity to carry on the oldest barbershop in West Sedona. I appreciate all the regular clients that have decided to stay with the business and anyone new that has walked in the door.

Thank You!

-Michele Ayala
